SWIMMING teachers in the Hambleton district are now using a new system which allows progress to be tracked online.

The “Learn2” system allows teachers to complete registers and mark a child’s progress on waterproof handheld devices at the pool side.

Parents can then instantly access the information online via desktops, tablets or mobile devices, as well as book places in new classes as children progress.

They can also access key information about the skills required to pass each level at the touch of a button.

The project has also seen free superfast Wi-Fi installed in each of Hambleton’s leisure centres – in Northallerton, Thirsk, Stokesley and Bedale - so parents can also access the information on site.
