How to make a leftover masterpiece
Updated 3:17pm Friday 11th April 2014 in News
CHEF Richard Fox is renowned for cooking with beer thanks to his passion for the brewing industry.
The award-winning food writer and broadcaster has been resident chef-presenter on BBC1’s Look North and guest chef on Food Poker and Saturday Cooks.
He is also the author of The Food and Beer Cookbook and was winner of The British Guild of Beer Writers Award for food and beer writing.
Together with his love for creating gourmet beer and food matches, his other passion is educating people on how to reduce their food waste.
Richard is touring the country performing cookery demonstrations on the theme of Love Food, Hate Waste.
His recipes and food wastereducing techniques have made him a regular feature at not only food festivals, but also at boutique music festivals.
He likes to go armed with nothing more than a set of knives, a box of everyday cupboard ingredients and the contents of an everyman’s fridge to show how to transform “past-it produce into gastronomic masterpieces”.
