Man in hospital after stabbing in Darlington street

A 19-YEAR-OLD Darlington man is in hospital after being stabbed in the street.

The victim was attacked in the Glebe Road area around 5.30pm on Saturday.

Police have confirmed he suffered minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

A 21-year-old Darlington man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A police spokesman said: "A 21-year-old man is in custody after a knife incident in the Glebe Road area.

"A 19-year-old man is in Darlington Memorial Hospital receiving treatment for minor injuries and is being kept under observation."

The stabbing came just hours after another serious assault in Lowe Street, Darlington, which left an 18-year-old man with a badly cut arm.

Another 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place around 3am on Saturday.

Oh come on, I don't see how successive governments, of any political colour, can be blamed for two grown men choosing to stab people. It is the perpetrators' choices.

Isn't 3 or 4 incidents within a week or so were someone has ended up in hospital after been attacked? Getting ridiculous.

Well 2 people did die at one point in the 2 nightclubs in town. Stuff like this happens all the time. As long as its just morons fighting Morons then who cares. I witnessed a guy pull a gun on somebody right outside the house I was staying at in Darlington about 15 years ago. Weapons aren't a new thing you know!
