Man in hospital after stabbing in Darlington street

A 19-YEAR-OLD Darlington man is in hospital after being stabbed in the street.
The victim was attacked in the Glebe Road area around 5.30pm on Saturday.
Police have confirmed he suffered minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
A 21-year-old Darlington man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said: "A 21-year-old man is in custody after a knife incident in the Glebe Road area.
"A 19-year-old man is in Darlington Memorial Hospital receiving treatment for minor injuries and is being kept under observation."
The stabbing came just hours after another serious assault in Lowe Street, Darlington, which left an 18-year-old man with a badly cut arm.
Another 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place around 3am on Saturday.

Crikey, knife crime in Darlington. It epitomises the town's sad decline after years of neglect by successive governments.
