Man arrested after assault in Darlington street

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a teenager was seriously assaulted in a Darlington street this morning.

The victim was left with a deep cut to his arm after the incident in Lowe Street, which took place around 3am.

Police confirmed the victim, also aged 18, was awaiting hospital treatment but said his injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers are still investigating the scene of the assault, which took place at the rear of a property in Selbourne Terrace, which backs on to Lowe Street.

Anyone who witnessed the assault is urged to contact police on 101.

I know it happens all over the country but Darlington never used to be as bad as this why do we have so many morons and thugs living in this town!!

Think the government need to change some laws and make the punishments harsher to many people are getting killed or hurt by mindless thugs who think they are above the law!

Its Darlington , this darlington that on here these days , the scum need to p**s off out of town , its become so bloody rough , assault at steads during week , this one , stabbing tonight in glebe street , this town is going to the dogs , down to the ever increasing scum population of this town , thugs , chavs , druggies and wasters always trailing the streets 24 hrs a day , taking away the towns once decent reputation , get tougher with them its the only way , take away ther bloody drug and drink money and give them food stamps , stick all the other morons on the 16:45 train to Hull and be done with it, evil arseholes

A friend of mine who lives in the west end of Darlington got a cab in Kings Cross a few weeks ago and the driver asked where she had travelled from, when she replied Darlington, he was shocked and said, oh that's that really rough gypsy town up north! How embarrassing that the rest of the countries perception is that it's rough!
