Last chance to vote in the Flavours of Herriot Country Awards

READERS of the Darlington & Stockton Times have their final chance to vote for their favourite food business in this year’s Flavours of Herriot Country Awards.

The Readers’ Choice Award is sponsored by the D&S Times and it is a category determined by the public.

People can now vote for their favourite establishment from the entrants in this year’s awards. The nominees are listed below.

In voting for their favourite, they will be entered in a draw to win the opportunity for the winner plus partner to accompany the Editor, Malcolm Warne and his wife, Sylvia, on one of their regular Eating Out reviews. The D&S Times will pick up the bill.

Mr Warne said: “We have extended this year’s Readers’ Choice award, opening it up to every business that entered. It means that a business that didn’t make the shortlist in any of the categories could possibly win the award by the popular vote.”

The Readers’ Choice ballot is open until Sunday October 28. The result will be revealed at the awards ceremony held at Thirsk Racecourse on Friday, November 16.

How to vote

By phone: Call 0901 151 adding the four digits listed under the entrant of your choice. For example if it was nominee 0508 you would like to vote for, simply dial 0901 151 0508.

By text: Send your text to 80360 starting with CHOICE, then leave a space, followed by the four digits for the entrant of your choice.

By post: Write the name of your chosen entrant, listed below, on a postcard and send to Readers’ Choice, Darlington & Stockton Times, Priestgate, Darlington DL1 1NF
