Reward offered after bag stolen

A businesswoman who had her bag stolen when thieves smashed the window of her car is offering a reward for the return of crucial diaries.

Susan Edge, who runs an antique and jewellery shop in Northallerton said she had parked the car in the town’s Tesco’s car park, but when she came out of the shop the window was smashed and her bag gone.

“I’m amazed, honestly, my car is like a jumble sale on wheels, there was loads of other stuff on the seat, but they obviously saw the bag which was a large tapestry one with equestrian details,” she said.

“It’s diaries that were in the bag that I need, they are of no use to anyone else, I really need them back.”

She said police are examining CCTV footage but told her they had not had any other similar incidents in that area. Anyone with information should contact Susan on 07966 489192.
