LOOKING SMART: Julie Moore, best dressed lady at Sedgefield races
FASHION conscious racing enthusiasts flocked to Sedgefield Racecourse for its annual Ladies Day meeting on Tuesday evening.
Event sponsor SG Petch picked out ten stylish women, who all received goody bags, before selecting Julie Moore as the overall winner of a £500 prize.
Ms Moore, of Redcar , also picked up other prizes including an overnight stay at the King’s Hotel, Darlington, and a voucher for the spa at Wynyard Hall.
The Ladies Day meeting was also used to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance, and racegoers donated £6,000.
Melissa Hogan, commercial manager at the racecourse, said: “It was a fantastic day and all of the ladies made such an effort.
“They looked lovely dressed in their finery, and it was nice to add a bit of glamour to the racecourse and to raise so much for the charity.”
