Collision closes busy road

A FOUR-vehicle collision brought a busy Middlesbrough road to a standstill today.

Stokesley Road, Marton, was shut from 11.30am for about 40 minutes at the Marton traffic lights, near Stewart Park, while police cleared the debris from a collision involving a Fiat Scudo, Landrover, Vauxhall Astra and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The passenger from one vehicle was taken to James Cook University Hospital as a precaution.

there should be a resurrection of driving ads on TV, try and tell all the idiots to back off from the car in front, also to point out that the stalk on the steering wheel is used for directional indication, something that is now virtually non-existent on motorways. Plus a reminder of the speed limits of this country. The standards of driving now are appalling.

then again, we are living in an age where no one accepts being told they are in the wrong, otherwise a tantrum develops............
