ELECTION candidates for the Thirsk and Malton seat are to attend a hustings within a church to voice their views.
Due to the death of John Boakes, the UKIP candidate for the constituency, the Thirsk and Malton seat is not voted on until Thursday, May 27.
Churches Together in Ryedale is to give the candidates a chance to speak at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 19.
The hustings is in St Michael’s Church, Malton, and it was organised by the chairman of Churches Together in Southern Ryedale the Reverend Mike Smith.
He said: "We hope that lots of people come to hear what the candidates will say "The results of the General Election have shown how interested people are in politics and we’re all fascinated to see what the result for Thirsk and Malton will be."
Anne McIntosh, Conservative, Jonathan Roberts, Labour, John Clark, Liberal, Toby Horton UKIP and Howard Keal Liberal-Democrats.
