ONE of Britain’s top rock bands are to stage a major outdoor concert in North Yorkshire next year.
Keane are to play in a natural tree-lined auditorium at Dalby Forest, near Pickering, on June 25.
They will follow in the footsteps of a number of other top acts to play the 8,600 acre venue including Paul Weller, Jarvis Cocker and the Beautiful South.
And cash raised by the 5,000-0capacity gig will be used to care for woodlands across North Yorkshire and the Tees Valley.
Organiser Paul Cody said: "It’s another fantastic name to add to the Dalby play-list and a tribute to the pulling power of the forest."
Tickets cost £32, subject to booking fee, and go on sale at 9am on December 4 from ticket hotline on 01842 814612 or buy online at forestry.gov.uk/music
