RESIDENTS are being invited to learn how to save energy at free advice sessions across Richmondshire next week.

With winter fast approaching, and energy bills increasing, trained advisors from the Government-funded Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre will be providing free, independent and impartial advice.

Among the information on offer will be how to save money on transport costs, get the best fuel economy from your vehicle, keep your home heating costs to a minimum and apply for a wide variety of grants to help cut energy costs.

The drop-in sessions will be held in the council’s community offices.

The dates are: Richmond on November 3 from 10am to 4pm; Hawes on November 4 from 10am to 1pm, Leyburn on November 4 from 2pm to 4pm, Colburn on November 6 from 10am to 4pm and Reeth on November 7 from 10am to 4pm.
