The team behind a special 70th anniversary show say it will be "an evening of music to suit everyone".

Northallerton Musical Theatre Company is marking the milestone this year, and the first event to celebrate the anniversary is a show entitled "Going Platinum".

It will be staged at The Forum, Northallerton, from Thursday, May 9, to Saturday, May 11. Tickets cost from £14 to £16 and are available from The Forum on 01609 776230 or via www.forumnorthallerton.org.uk.

A spokesperson for the company said: "'Going Platinum' will be a look back at some of the shows we have staged such as Oklahoma, Carousel, Annie, Oliver etc, and a look to the future with Jersey Boys, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast – to mention just a few! It will be an evening of music to suit everyone."
