School pupils have celebrated the end of a project designed to make their village safer.
Children in years five and six at Ingleton CofE Primary School, near Darlington, took part in the Police and Crime Commissioner Challenge.
The new scheme sees pupils undertake a variety of tasks to help their local area become safer, and more resilient to crime and anti-social behaviour.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Thank you to Ingleton Primary School for taking part and helping our young people engage with their communities, increase self-confidence, and remove any barriers between policing and young people."
The school was invited to take part in the scheme by Durham Agency Against Crime, which works alongside Durham Constabulary on the project,
