Peter Wright from the hit TV series The Yorkshire Vet has written his first children’s book.
"Peter, Sue and a lot of Poo" is a rhyming picture book for young children, set on a farm.
It tells the story of Sue the cow, who has turned very smelly and Farmer John needs the vet to come and check her out. A chase through the farm ensues, past the sheep, pigs and ducks and into the barn, where Peter gets a lovely, if rather stinky, surprise.
A book signing is taking place at White Rose Books, in Thirsk Market Place, on Saturday, March 30 from 11am.
Peter will read the story, sign copies of his book and there will be farm related activity sheets for children to complete or take away.
