Burneston Primary School, near Bedale, has revealed it has achieved a "good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection.

The school said this is a significant accomplishment, after it had previously been graded as "requires improvement".

Head teacher Suzy Smart said the Ofsted report highlighted Burneston's commitment to providing a high-quality education, fostering a positive learning environment, and delivering excellent outcomes for its pupils.

The school noted key highlights from the Ofsted report, including the strong shared vision of leadership and governance, the broad and ambitious curriculum which has been designed and embedded by staff and leaders, the positive and collaborative learning environment, and the school’s high aspirations for pupils.

Ms Smart thanked the entire school community for their dedication and hard work in achieving the improved rating.

She added: "We are thrilled to receive a 'good' judgement from Ofsted, which is a testament to the collective efforts of our staff, pupils, parents and the wider community. This achievement reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and providing the best possible education for our children."
