Award-winning folk singer and guitarist, Chris Wood, will return to Reeth Memorial Hall in Swaledale on Saturday, September 9.
His most recent album "So Much to Defend" has received wide critical acclaim and includes reflections on tops from minor league football, to empty nest syndrome, to learning to swim, to the Gecko as a metaphor for contemporary society.
Hollow Point, a ballad on the shooting of Jean Charles Menezez, won a BBC Folk Award.
Collaborators include Martin Carthy, Dizraeli, Billy Bragg, Andy Cutting, Andy Irvine, Karine Polwart, Jean Francois Vrod, The Imagined Village, Hugh Lupton, Martin Butler and many others.
Tickets for Saturday's concert are £16 in advance (£18 on the door) and under 16s are half price. They are on sale at Reeth Post Office, contact John Little on 01748 884759, or email memorialhall@swaledale.co.uk. Proceeds are in aid of hall funds.
Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
