Entries are now open for the James Herriot Country Trail Run next weekend.
The event takes place over a scenic 14k route on moorland tracks and paths near Castle Bolton, in Wensleydale, by permission of Lord Bolton.
The start and finish is just by Bolton Castle and the route is traffic free and well marshalled. The event, on Sunday, July 30, starts at 11am and is organised by Wensleydale Rotary Club in aid of local charities.
It is run under UK Athletics rules, and there is an extensive prize list.
Entry costs £13.50. Full details can be found at www.wensleydale.rotary1040.org.
