RICHMOND Golf Club has announced that Mark Robson, PGA has joined as its new teaching professional.

Mark started his professional career as assistant professional at Ganton Golf Club, a former Ryder and Walker Cup venue and top 100 course in the world.

He worked as head of coaching and junior programme at the Roehampton Club, South West London, and most recently worked as teaching professional within the Graeme Storm Golf Academy, based at the Richmond club.

"I’ve been associated with the golf club for some months and will now dedicate my time to coaching members and visitors," said Mark.

"I have a great relationship with the local schools and The Golf Foundation so I intend to make RGC the hub for local junior golf.

"In addition, I intend to work with the board of directors to help RGC recruit more members and make this club the ‘go to place for golf’ in the region."

Mick Campbell, Richmond chairman, said: "We’re delighted to retain Mark at the golf club, where he has already made a significant impact with the regular golf lessons provided for our Academy Ladies, part of our Women-in-Golf chartership."
