Health meeting

THE next Governing Body meeting for NHS Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby Clinical Commissioning Group (the CCG) will take place on September 27 from 1.30pm at Seminar Room, Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn. The meeting will open with a Q&A period of up to ten minutes for members of the public to raise a particular matter or ask a question. Tractor crash

A TRACTOR hit the side of a house after rolling 30ft down an embankment through trees. It happened in Crosby near Northallerton just before 6pm on Tuesday night. The driver did not suffer any serious injuries and was treated at the scene as a precaution. Fire crews from Northallerton and Ripon were called to the incident but the house was only believed to have suffered slight structural damage so no action was required from the crews.

Elderly event

HELPING older people get the best out of life is the aim of a special event at the Golden Lion Hotel in Northallerton organised by the town’s MP Rishi Sunak. The Older Persons’ Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 26 and will bring together around 30 organisations offering advice and information about a huge range of local services and opportunities for older people. It runs between 10am and 1pm.

Fake money

POLICE have received a report of counterfeit £50 notes circulating in Northallerton. Anybody who believes they have received a fake note should call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for PC 496 Bramham, quoting reference number 12180169451.

Flea market

A TWILIGHT Flea Market is being held at Thirsk Auction Mart on Saturday, September 15. There will be both indoor and undercover stands, a licensed cafe and free parking. It runs from noon to 7pm and entry is £3.
