RIPON Karate Dojo has received a cash boost from homebuilder, Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, towards state-of-the-art equipment.
The club, which is located close to Taylor Wimpey’s Lime Gardens development, has received £500 towards an advanced Fitlight Training system designed to help develop agility, coordination and fitness levels.
Ady Gray, chief instructor, said: “The club is committed to providing the best karate training available in the UK.
“We are passionate about maintaining the highest standards of instruction and are excited about the addition of the Fitlight Training system to our club.
The Karate Dojo has nearly 200 students training on a weekly basis across its four clubs in the region. Several of its students compete internationally, most recently in Istanbul, whereby six of the Ripon-based students medalled at a World level.
