(CHRIS Moncrieff's) column never fails to amaze me (Echo, Aug 14).

Firstly he talks about Boris just taking the mickey.

If he took that further and checked the meaning and origin of the word he advocates taking the p*** out of religion, which is in my opinion unworthy of a family newspaper.

He quoted Voltaire and although it sounds good he never practices it as constantly he attacks all who dare opposes his Brexit.

His statement about Sir Vince Cable seems to suggest the EU has ordered a new referendum but this, like £350m a week for the NHS, is untrue.

As a remain voter I accept the result but no matter what I or the rest of the country do it’s not going to work.

We will have control of our borders only because no one will want to work here.
