EXTRA sessions that give advice and information to young people and adults are being staged thanks to a £10,000 grant.

Making Time is a scheme that runs at The Clock in Thirsk, but the twick weekly sessions are so popular they're overwhelmed, so now a further five weekly drop in sessions are being added.

The sessions cover many issues from mental health, budgeting and fitness to employment and IT. The extra time will add information on sexual health as well as monthly themes on national initiatives. The grant came through Hambleton council's making a difference scheme

"Now in its 15th year The Clock is a key organisation for young people and adults to turn to when they need help,” said Abigail Homer, Chief Executive. "We are running at capacity for our adult services and have had to introduce waiting lists. However with this grant we will be able to get more people to our sessions and meet the needs of even more young people. Not only will we be able to give them the relevant information we will have time to make sure they understand how to use it.”
