POLICE are asking for the public’s help in finding a man missing for almost a week who may be in North Yorkshire.

Police Scotland have issued the appeal to locate Steven Cunningham, 48, who went missing from Cowdenbeath, Fife, last Tuesday.

Officers believe he may be in the Scarborough area.

Mr Cunningham has his car with him, a silver Vauxhall Astra, registration number VE64KNF, and when he was last seen he was wearing a blue t-shirt and possibly navy shorts.

He is around 5ft 10 inches tall, with a stocky build, short brown receding hair and wearing gold-rimmed glasses.

Constable Fiona Menzies at Cowdenbeath Police Station said: “This is completely out of character for Steven to not be in touch with friends or family for this length of time.

“His family is understandably worried and just want to know he is okay.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cowdenbeath Police Station on 101.
