A GRAND reopening is planned for the Majestic theatre in Bondgate, Darlington, followed by a programme of shows and workshops.
Management company, Lyall Events and Entertainment, is organising a free opening event on July 1. Space is limited and tickets must be booked.
Shows this summer include Folkish Fusion on July 14, an evening of Americana, country, folk and rock alongside a 16-piece community choir; the children's musical, The Giant’s Loo Roll, on July 26; The New Jersey Boys on August
30; and comedian Nish Kumar stopping off en route to Edinburgh on September 29.
Stage One returns on Monday evenings and Darlington Stage School offers Saturday sessions for children aged three to five and six to 18. For details contact Hayley@majestictheatre.org.uk.
A workshop on film, Act 2 Cam, runs on Tuesday evenings from 6-7pm. Book at act2cam.com.
Bondgate Players meet every week on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7.30pm. The amateurs stage shows during the year and have a wide range of followers. For information call 07761986749 or visit thebondgateplayers.co.uk.
