THE 37th annual Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show is set to be a fun-filled day for young and old this weekend.

The event at Preston Park, near Stockton, will see more than 300 vehicles of all types on display, including the largest number of restored fire appliances.

Military vehicles, tractors, steam exhibits, classic American vehicles and motorcycles dating back to before the Second World War will be on show.

Stockton Borough Council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, Councillor Norma Wilburn, said: “The Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show is always a big hit and attracts hundreds of families every year. And, with so much beautiful green space sprawling the banks of the River Tees, Preston Park is the perfect place to host the rally.”

The event will run from 11am until 5pm both days.

Entry is £5 adults, £2.50 under 16s and pensioners, while those aged five and under are free.
