MASHAM Young Farmers took part in a tractor run to raise funds for a cancer charity last weekend.

The tractor run, which started in Masham Market Place on Sunday, May 27, raised more than £780 funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

During their run, they called in to Studfold Caravan, Glamping and Caravan Park to allow families staying there to enjoy the sight of so many tractors together.

The tractors, from 1958 vintage tractors to huge modern day machines, formed a ‘Big C’ to illustrate their fight against cancer.

Anne Challis and Ian Walker, of Studfold Caravan, Clamping and Caravan Park, whose daughter Heather Challis is a member of Masham Young Farmers, said: “It was an amazing site, and for such a good cause.”

This was the first charity tractor run held by Masham YFC and the turnout was very impressive, with 45 tractors in attendance. The club would like thank everyone, who helped organise and run this event, and to all who attended and donated so generously.
