TO celebrate the news that Scouting has shown its 13th year of consecutive growth, Darlington Scouts is opening a new group in Skerne Park.
On Wednesday, June 6 there will be a free open event for girls and boys aged six to 14 years and any adults who want to know more, to give Scouting a try.
The event will run from 5.30pm to 7 pm at Skerne Park Academy.
Joanne Hennessey, growth and development officer for Durham, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the young people in and around Skerne Park to develop skills for life. At present there is already 11 groups in Darlington, a new group here will be a fantastic addition to the ever growing District.”
