FIVE people are being hunted by police after raiding an enclosed yard in the county town of North Yorkshire.

A silver 4x4 containing the five managed to gain access to the yard in Pen Court on Standard Way, Northallerton, on May 4.

And between 9.41pm and 10.18pm they searched the area, taking a number of items, including a generator and trailer, which they towed away.

Police ant to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious and are asking local businesses to check their CCTV to help establish the identity of the vehicle.

Three of the suspects were wearing green wellingtons on what was a hot weekend. One was wearing a light coloured hoody, three were in all dark clothing and one was in a dark top and lighter coloured bottoms
