THE farming community pulled out all the stops for their annual ball to raise thousands for charity.
Farmers and their families came out in their hundreds for the annual Rokeby Farmers' Ball in February.
The sell-out event saw 222 guests attend the event at the Morritt Arms Hotel, in Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle.
and the Ball committee recently handed over a cheque for £3,200 to the National CJD Research & Surveillance Unit at the University of Edinburgh.
Treasurer of the ball committee, Andrew Watson, said the night was a huge success.
He said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped raise this amount especially George F White, Frontier, Lycetts & Muscari Flowers." Next year's ball will be held on February 2.
