A THIRSK business is pushing to expand its global reach by appearing at an international show for the first time.

Langver Engineering, which makes ratchet tensioners for truck trailer curtains, is preparing to showcase its products at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2018 at Birmingham NEC.

The business led by Claire Matten and Scott Taylor who joined the team as an apprentice engineer at 16 and bought the company at the age of just 28.

Mr Taylor, now 41, said the show was a rare chance to show customers their full range and listen to feedback on the product.

Ms Matten added: “This is a great opportunity for us to get out and meet our customers. It is through our discussions that we can ensure we are offering superior products and delivering what our clients need.”

The show takes place from April 24 to 26.
