ELECTRICAL engineer Peter Moppett who has a passion for art has combined the two to produce a new book and hold an exhibition of special views of the Yorkshire Dales.

Mr Moppett has been exhibiting some of his digitally combined photographic art which includes many of the most stunning views in the Dales at the Station in Richmond.

He has worked in the past on wind tunnel design, radar pulse generation and gyroscopic stabilisation, but after retiring Mr Moppett returned to the North to live between the Moors and Dales where he has indulged his passion for painting and photography combining them in digital form. Each picture builds up multiple layers of colour to create a distinctive art style.

The results can be seen at the exhibition and in Mr Moppett's book, Richmond and Swaledale: An illustrated Guide to a Beautiful Dale which is packed with information and paintings and is available at the Castle Hill Book shop in Richmond.
