A SCHOOL has shown the quality of its provision for helping students prepare for their futures with a range of learning opportunities aimed at careers and work.
The Dales School, Morton-on-Swale, has been awarded the national Quality in Careers Standard becoming one of only 25 per cent nationally to achieve the coveted status.
Richmond MP Rishi Sunak was on hand to officially present the certificate to students as well as sample some home-made scones as he also formally opened a shop and new-look café at the school, between Northallerton and Bedale.
The Quality in Careers Standard was awarded to the school by national body CSW Investor in Careers for its outstanding provision of careers education, information, advice and guidance to students.
Mr Sunak said: “The right advice is incredibly important to give young people the foundations for a fulfilling working life.
“In order to reach their full potential, and therefore have a fantastic life, they must be exposed to all the amazing opportunities out there for them.”
