LOCAL social needs group Life Encounters will be holding its sixth annual free festive dinner in Northallerton town hall on December 25.
The United 4 Christmas event is designed for those who are struggling, lonely, vulnerable, elderly or homeless.
Life Encounters founder Denver Thompson said: "We work with local businesses, churches and Northallerton Town Council on the initiative.
"Low wages, job cuts and business closures have hit the economy and families very had this last few years.
"This gives something to people who can’t afford a meal this year. A place of warmth, friendship and security.
It will take place between noon and 2.30pm with tea, coffee and mince pies served from 11am.
