AN all-female folk trio will be bringing their latest show to the region next month.

Lady Maisery, which consists of musicians Hannah James, Rowan Rheingans and Hazel Askew, will perform at The Witham, in Barnard Castle, at 8pm, on Friday, November 10.

The group, who play fiddle, banjo and harp, are also known for the lost art of mouth music or "diddling" which was once common in England and is still seen in parts of Europe.

Over the last five years, the trio have toured widely, performing sell-out shows across the UK and Europe.

Sarah Gent, arts marketing manager at The Witham said: "Lady Maisery create such beautiful, melodic and enchanting music.

"We are delighted to be welcoming Hannah James back following her wonderful Jig Doll gig in May that left people mesmerised with her amazing clog percussion." "Come to enjoy an evening of song at The Witham with these hugely talented singers and musicians."

Tickets cost £13 in advance or £15 on the door while a supper club will also be available at the venue at 6.30pm for an extra £12.
