VISITORS to the Northern Antiques Fair can get a glimpse of how the other half lived.
A collection of items that belonged to Gone With the Wind star Vivien Leigh which she shared with her husband Sir Laurence Olivier has been brought together by Haynes Fine Art - London & Cotswolds and is being exhibited as a roomset.
The decorative room setting provides an insight into the actress’s personal life showing her passion for interior design and modern British paintings.
Highlights include a backgammon and chess table, and a card table, as well as a library armchair, a tapestry wing-back armchair, a toilet mirror, a hand towel with the embroidered initials V.L.O., and a selection of 20th-century paintings, rugs and objets d’art.
They are among the highlights of the fair which is now underway at the Harrogate Convention Centre and continues until Sunday.
Tickets are £7.50 including catalogue and re-admission. Visit northernfair.com
