A TEAM of creative young farmers are encouraging Halloween lovers to join them in a haunted maize maze.

For one night, Catterick Young Farmers will be unleashed into the depths of the Atley Hill maze, near Northallerton, dressed as zombies, ghosts and ghouls.

Visitors must navigate their way around the route, as well as completing a series of challenges along the way.

Rachel Henshaw, of Catterick Young Farmers, said: “This is the first time we have tried anything like this so we are all very excited.

“It’s going to be a bit like I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! as there will be stars hidden around the course and the more stars people collect the more prizes they will win.”

The event is organised by the young farmers and the Alderson family, including stewarding.

Ms Henshaw added: “We are so grateful to be given use of the maze so we want to make sure it provides great fun for everyone and hope to create an amazing atmosphere.”

The Maize Maze Fright Night will be held on Friday, October 27 at 6.30pm, and all proceeds will go to the club funds.

Tickets are £8 and free for under-12s. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
