AN anonymous benefactor has donated a classic car to be auctioned online to raise cash for a life-saving emergency service.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) has been handed the black and gold 1965 Sunbeam Rapier which is now being auctioned off on eBay.
Seven bids have already been made on the vehicle - with the current sale figure standing at more than £5,000.
All proceeds will go to the service which is organising viewings of the vintage motor.
The Sunbeam Rapier is available for viewing by appointment only in the Newton Aycliffe area of County Durham from Monday to Thursday from 8am until 4pm or on a Friday from 8am until 3.30pm
The auction runs until Wednesday, September 20.
For details and to arrange an appointment call 01325 308139 and to make a bid visit ebay.co.uk/itm/263204242845
GNAAS is entirely reliant on public donations to survive and last year responded to 1042 call outs.
