SHIELD Hazel, nee Walton aged 85 years, formerly of Marske-in-Swaledale, died peacefully in hospital on September 6. Beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Virginia and Helen, dear mother-in-law to David and Frank and loving grandmother to Juliet, Hugo and Tom. A Service of Thanksgiving for Hazel's life will be held at St. Michael & All Angels Church, Middleton Tyas on Friday September 22, at 1.30p.m followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Donations if desired may be given for Church Funds or if preferred floral tributes may be sent care of John Blenkiron & Sons, Funeral Directors, Richmond.
