BURGLARS made off with jewellery and tools in a series of raids on homes and a service station in Richmondshire.
A house in the Ellerton area was broken into through a smashed window between 11am and 12.20pm last Saturday.
Distinctive jewellery, including a sapphire eternity ring with half-band sapphire and diamond with “Amanda and Mark” engraved on the inside was stolen
They also took a yellow-gold garnet ring oval shape, a pair of earring studs and a yellow-gold diamond necklace.
Overnight on August 17, another burglary occurred at a service station at Aldbrough St John.
The burglars forced their way in through a window and stole a selection of tools including an angle grinder, a diagnostic machine and a wheel gun.
A Saab car parked outside the premises was also interfered with.
On August 7 at 1.43pm, there was an attempted burglary at a house on Cow Lane, Middleton Tyas. It is believed the suspects made off empty handed when the burglar alarm was activated.
