A RUNNING club made a whistle stop tour of County Durham over the weekend as they set themselves a 158-mile challenge.
About 70 members of the Evenwood Road Runners, based in Evenwood, Teesdale, took on the non-stop relay around the county on Friday and Saturday.
It is the third year runners have put their trainers to the test and each leg ranged from six to ten miles.
The energetic team also had time to join in with the Hartlepool Parkrun on Saturday morning and the whole club came together for the final two miles.
Club treasurer, Gary Atkinson, said: "The event just gets better every year with everyone playing their part. This year we had the juniors with us for the last leg for the first time and it was fantastic to see the whole of the running club running the last two miles back into Evenwood."
