ONE of the leading Michelin starred hotels in the region is up for sale for £1.75m.

The Yorke Arms at Ramsgill in Nidderdale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is a 16 bedroom hotel which currently has special summer offers of £300 per night for dinner, bed and breakfast.

Located on the village green of Ramsgill it was originally the site of a monastic cheesery, the ivy-clad 18th century coaching house and shooting lodge now has superior courtyard apartments and rooms with two dining rooms, and extensive gardens.

The restaurant, which has held its Michelin star consistently since 2003, is run by award-winning chef Frances Atkins, one of only a handful of female Michelin chefs in the UK. Mrs Atkins says she her husband is retiring and she is moving on to exciting new projects.
