RAILWAY enthusiasts are being given the chance to dine in style with the introduction of a historic new carriage on a heritage line.
The Wensleydale Railway has been presented with a 1912 directors' salon. It was built for the London and North West Railway and was recently used in York Theatre Royal's production of the Railway Children.
The carriage has been spruced up for the new service which is launched on Friday, June 16 in conjunction with Bedale Cafe Institution.
Railway Director Steve Davies said: "This is a fabulous new service with high quality surroundings and amazing food. The carriage is wonderful, it was built with huge picture windows and the views of the line are simply spectacular.”
It will run three days a week, going up to four in summer. For more details visit the website; wensleydalerail.com/
