A POPULAR hospice fundraiser returns this summer and there is still time to get onboard.

The St Leonard’s Hospice Midnight Walk takes place on June 10 and will see hundreds of people complete an overnight 6.5-mile circular walk from York College.

This year's theme is ‘Ready, Set, Glow’ and there’ll be plenty to get walkers glowing, including a fluorescent warm up with Thomas of ‘Clubbercise with Thomas’ and light-up selfie stops, fluorescent sculptures and Day-Glo dancers along the route.

Midnight walkers are encouraged to glow from head-to-toe if they wish.

DJ Harry ‘Hometime’ and Minster FM will be kicking everything off at the college at 9pm and walkers will begin the walk at midnight.

Katie Jackson, fundraiser at St Leonard’s Hospice, said: “It’s not too late to get your team of neon warriors together, and this year the Midnight Walk is open to all - men, women and children! We want to create a real party atmosphere and there will be plenty of fun and games on offer en route.

"Will you be the one to spot all our SLH glow worms around York?”

The entry price is £17 for adults and £12 for children and tickets are available at the Hospice website: www.stleonardshospice.org.uk
