A SUPER Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting has given Darlington residents a chance to have their say on a range of policing matters.
Durham Police Crime and Victim’s Commissioner Ron Hogg hosted the town centre event for two hours alongside Darlington Police Neighbourhood Inspector Chris Knox.
PACT meetings are regularly hosted in community venues across Darlington neighbourhoods, however the force invited shoppers and town centre visitors to discuss their concerns at Joseph Pease Place.
Members of the public spoke to Mr Hogg and Insp Knox between noon and 2pm on Friday.
Insp Knox has pledged to listen to residents since assuming his role with Darlington Police in January 2017.
He said: “My aim is to make Darlington a safer place to live work and visit.
“I want to do this by working closely with communities and partner organisations to solve problems and tackle the issues that matter to local people.
“I am also committed to reducing crime and anti-social behaviour across the town and in the surrounding villages.”
