A RESCUED greyhound is on the hunt for a new home after being taken in by an animal welfare sanctuary.
Jack, a four-year-old greyhound, has been described as a laid-back dog who loves to be fussed by his canine carers at the Darlington-based National Animal Sanctuary Support League (NASSL).
His easy-going personality trait is typical of his breed and staff at the sanctuary are sure the four-year-old will enjoy exploring new walking routes with his would-be owners.
A NASSL spokeswoman said: “Greyhounds are known for their easy-going take on life and Jack is no exception.
“He absolutely loves to be around people and loves a fuss – he would be fine with another dog, but is not used to cats or small children.
“He is a good traveller and likes to get out for walks but also likes his home comforts. He will be a joy and a pleasure to have around.”
NASSL have also appealed for donations to ensure the sanctuary can continue to care for animals found roaming the streets or in need of temporary care.
