SCANDANAVIAN style teepees and wedding fayre from across the region will be on show at Helmsley this weekend.

Held in conjunction with Totem Tipis, the Wedding and Spring Fair will give visitors a chance to explore the blooming spring displays and look inside Totem Tipi’s ‘Giant hat’ Scandinavian style teepees, which can be hired for events and weddings.

Totem Tipi is a social enterprise set up by Connecting Youth Culture, with any profits made helping to fund youth services in the region through the North Yorkshire County Council.

The fair, at Helmsley Walled Garden this Saturday, will also host to a range of top wedding suppliers from across North Yorkshire including Helmsley’s Celebrate Country Cake Design and Brides of York

In addition to wedding industry businesses, there will also be stalls including popular art brand Red Hen Originals, as well as independent retailers selling everything from handbags, scarves and pashminas to fabrics, garden ornaments and homewares.

Mike I’Anson, Helmsley Walled Garden manager, said: “It should be a great day out for everyone, whether they’re planning a wedding and looking for inspiration, or if they’re just after a day out with beautiful gardens to stroll through and stalls from wonderful independent retailers to browse.

“It’s a great time to visit the gardens, now spring has sprung. With the beautiful town of Helmsley to then explore as well, what better way to spend a bank holiday weekend?”

It runs from 10am to 3pm and the entrance fee for both the fair and the garden will be set at a special rate of £2.
