BEDALE is looking bright and beautiful after local businesses, residents and councillors waded in for a spring clean.
Over forty volunteers came together to brush away the winter blues and smarten up the town . Over a tonne of litter and weeds was removed from the market place, signs and street furniture was polished, gutters cleaned and pavements washed in a marathon nine hour stint.
Hambleton District councillor Mike Barningham said:βBedale looks so much better and much more inviting. I would like to thank everyone who took part in the clean up and the local businesses and residents who take so much pride in their town that they were prepared to contribute their time and expertise.β
David McKnight, Vibrant Market Town Officer, said the aim was to present historic Bedale at itβs best.
