OLYMPIC Games medallist Sam Griffiths will be passing on some tips from the top to horse riders across North Yorkshire.
The international event rider is saddling up for a lecture and demonstration at Richmond Equestrian Centre at Brough Park, Richmond, on April 10.
The event is organised by the Minster Equine Veterinary Clinic, which has units in York, Ripon and Malton, in association with Saracens Horse Feeds.
Sam, who is based in the UK, was a member of the Australian team which won a bronze medal and was fourth individually at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He also triumphed at Badminton in 2014, and represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games in the USA.
He is bringing two of his event horses to Richmond for the demonstration - Making The Most of Every Stride - and will also take part in a question-and-answer session with local riders.
Vets Katherine Wright and Matt Swarbrick, who work at the Minster Equine Clinic in Ripon, will give a talk on keeping horses sound from a veterinary perspective and nutrition adviser Sarah Rushby, from Saracens Horse Feeds, will give a talk on feeding performance horses.
Tickets cost £18 and are available from 01765-690245 or Jennifer.fawbert@minstervets.co.uk or book online at horsevents.co.uk
