Middleton Lodge Estate, near Middleton Tyas, holding a Burns Night Ball on January 28 and will donate the proceeds to Herriot Hospice Homecare.
People are being encouraged to dress up in their kilts and cocktail dresses for a champagne reception in the inner hall, before they are led by a piper to the marquee to enjoy a four-course haggis-inspired dinner and a reading of one of Robert Burn’s acclaimed poems.
A traditional ceilidh band will provide the music and Rosie Page, the daughter of James Herriot author Alf Wight and a patron of the charity, will be the guest speaker.
Tickets are £75 each, including champagne on arrival. Call 01325 377977 or email info@middletonlodge.co.uk to book.
